Support Multiple Myeloma Ireland

Sarah Murray is raising money for Multiple Myeloma Ireland
In memory of Aidan Power
All donations we receive go directly to providing support services and information for those affected by multiple myeloma. Thanks to the support of people like you we can continue to provide this service free of charge to patients & their families.

Story

This fundraiser is in memory of a very close family friend Aidan Power. Aidan passed away Saturday 13th May after a short illness, Amyloidosis. Aidan was an avid sportsman and loved music and fishing. He was a gentle soul and always greeted everyone he met with a smile. Aidan will be sadly missed by his friends and family.

Amyloidosis is a rare genetic disease that occurs when the protein 'amyloid' builds up in organs. The build-up of this protein can affect organs such as heart, kidneys, liver, spleen, nervous system, digestive tract and interfere with their normal function.

Multiple Myeloma Ireland is the only charitable organisation in Ireland focused exclusively on supporting patients, families and carers with Multiple Myeloma and related conditions. Multiple Myeloma Ireland is also a member of Myeloma Patients Europe, the umbrella organisation of multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis patient groups and associations from across Europe.
