Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To my horror and slight surprise I will be participating in a half marathon this Sunday (I know I've left the fundraising very late). I say "participating" rather than "running", but I promise that there will be at least some running (by me) involved so that I finish before the roads re-open (at which point, of course, I'd run the risk of getting run over).

I am raising money for LinkAble, a charity local to where I (now) live. They are a fantastic organisation which offers a whole range of experiences and activities to people with learning disabilities. They do excellent work with adults. I think, often, that adults with learning disabilities are overlooked in society - which means that LinkAble's work is hugely important. They help build individuals' skills, confidence and independence. And I know this first hand - if you go onto their website, you'll see some nice pictures of my sister and some of her friends (who use and rely on the services that LinkAble provides).
