Shaving my hair

Shaving my hair · 7 June 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
DATE SET!!!!! 28th JUNE!!!!!
For those of you who don't know, my name is Sarah, I have aspergers (which is part of the autism spectrum) and because of my aspergers I have real problems with thinking people are staring at me or looking at me. What I am going to be doing is one of the toughest challenges of my life so far due to the fact that it will mean I will get a hell of a lot of people looking at me and I will be very uncomfortable with this.
I am going to get my hair all shaved off (my hair will be donated through Cancer Research UK ) and raising money for James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer. I'm doing this for a few reasons, I want to raise money for some sort of cancer charity as so many of my family members have died from cancer. But more importantly, and the reason I have chosen this particular charity, is because at the moment kidney cancer is very close to me, and we have learnt that there is not enough expertise in how to help with this type of cancer. My dad has a rare form of kidney cancer, and due to him having other health problems he is unable to have the (what would be simple) op to remove his kidney. The doctors are not used to not being able to just cut this type of cancer out, therefore meaning all the treatment he has had is trial and error rather than something they know will work. So I'm hoping money raised can help to research ways that kidney cancer can be cured if the patient cannot have the op so that there are not too many other people out there that this happens to. I want people to dig deep and please donate as much as you can.
Photo's will be posted on my Facebook account of the before and after, and also onto here for anyone not on my Facebook. The photo in this page is myself before having my hair shaved off.
