Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in my first ever (and perhaps last?!) Olympic Distance triathlon on Sunday 2nd August. This involves a 1,500m swim in the Thames (yuck!), a 40 km bike ride through the streets of London and finally a 10 km run around Victoria Dock in East London. It will be tough and it will probably take me more than 2.5 hours to complete. The worst bit is the start time - 6.30AM!!
As many of you know, my training hasn't gone as smoothly as I had planned over the last few weeks because Ed has been ill. It therefore seems appropriate for me to take the opportunity to raise money for MIND, the mental health charity. Support for those suffering from mental health issues as well as support for those close to them is vital, and MIND does a fantastic job.
So, if you feel inclined, please do dig deep and sponsor me for this event. And whilst you're sitting in bed with a nice morning cup of tea on Sunday morning, you can think of me finishing the race!!
