Myself, Mark and Joe are taking part in 

The Great Manchester Run.

I hope you will consider a donation to our Just giving page as we are raising funds for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital after our daughter received great care after being involved in a road traffic accident on Easter Sunday 2014.

Danielle's injury was life threatening and she received life saving brain surgery, and was in a coma for 4 weeks, being looked after in the Intensive Care Unit.

Danielle then was cared for by the marvellous Neurology team with her Neuro-rehabilitation, learning to walk, talk, read, write, carry out routine daily tasks, Due to Danielle's injuries she was under nearly every discipline within the hospital, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, plastics, neuropsychology, ENT, micro-biology, surgical, orthopaedic, all this after going through, A&E Trauma Team , Intensive Care and Life Saving Brain Surgery.

Just highlighting all the great care that has been provided within the Two and a half years of her rehabilitation. Showing the many areas that require donations for the hospital, and where they can be used. 

Danielle does have life long injuries as a result of her accident but continues to make  tremendous progress and continues to work with her rehabilitation positively, making strides every day. And has recently carried out work experience at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as she would like to pursue a career now as a paediatric nurse.

Since the accident as a family we will always be grateful to the life saving care that the staff from Royal Manchester Children's Hospital provided  for Danni and we know we where very blessed, and are very conscious of families that may not have had the same outcome.
