When we are given the green light to re-open, we want to be ready to make sure all safety measures are in place to combat and minimise the spread of the coronavirus that are in line with guidance from the Government and British Gymnastics. The whole gym is undertaking a deep clean and renovation. Cleaning machines are being purchased to make sure we are able to do a thorough daily clean, with areas that have more traffic cleaned throughout the day. The wall from the old changing rooms has been removed and there will be an open area with cubby holes to leave belongings (when belongings are allowed into the gym) with new flooring, 3 unisex toilets with new floor to ceiling cubicles for privacy. There is no door to the area so less areas to touch. New hand sanitisers, handwashing facilities and a thermometer are being installed. All of this is going to cost around £8,000 - £10,000 some of which we are hoping to raise from this sponsored event.
