Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 25th of January 2016 I will start 8 weeks of boxing training culminating in a final boxing match on the 19th of March at Bramall Lane, Sheffield.
I will get hit, I will probably cry, I will probably stamp my feet and say I can't do it, and I will probably end up with lots of bruises and broken finger nails (you'll know this is the worst bit for anyone who knows me!) but it will be worth it so that I can raise as much money for the Lewis Moody Foundation, a charity set up in in memory of a brave, and gifted young athlete Joss Rowley. Joss is the son of my good friends Tiffany and Graeme and the brother of Leo, another gifted athlete and he was taken far too soon and in the cruelest way. His family are my inspiration and the bravest, kindest people I've ever met. I never want another family to have to go through their pain. The Lewis Moody foundation exists to help raise funds for research into a cure and to help the families of young brain tumour victims like Joss have some normality in their lives and was set up when Lewis met Joss during his illness and was so captivated and inspired by him (which everyone who new him was) that he set up the foundation in his memory. Hopefully your donations and my bruises and broken nails can mean that other families don't have to go through what Joss's have. I also have tickets to the show available so if you'd like to come along to a great night for a great cause, or just to watch me get battered! let me know.
