So I have taken up the completely crazy challenge of running (or variations of running!)  26.2 miles in this year’s London Marathon... I am definitely not a ‘natural’ runner so this will be the biggest physical challenge I have ever faced! But one as I approach the big 40 this year, I am determined to achieve....

I am raising money for the WHSmith Trust which is fantastic charity whose donations support employee nominated charities both big and small- so this is a great charity through which to be able to support multiple causes, including smaller charities in local communities.

Employee nominated chairities range from big national campaigns such as Cancer Research, Kidney Research, Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes UK and Parkinson’s Disease Society to small community based charities including scout groups, hospices and air ambulances. 

The trust also provides grants to schools to support building their library book stocks, and to the National Literacy Trust to support their work with primary schools across the U.K, particularly helping disadvantaged children to improve their literacy skills... 

So, your donations will be going to a brilliant charity supporting a truly diverse range of causes (and will help spur me on in my training!!!)
