We improve people's access to clean energy to transform lives & tackle climate change

Story

Having just survived my longest training run, I think it's about time I let you all know what I'm up and make this lunacy worthwhile!

To celebrate/commiserate becoming 30 this year, I want to raise £100 for every year I've been alive and donate the money to blueEnergy Nicaragua, a sustainable energy NGO I worked for in 2007 (for more details click on the link).

To do this, I'll be running my first marathon in Liverpool on October 9th 2011 (supporters welcome!!).  I'm actually running for a UK based charity, Renewable World who support various energy projects in Third world countries, and have been working with blueEnergy since 2009, supporting them to build sustainable renewable energy systems for remote communities in Nicaragua. Renewable World have agreed to pass on 100% of the money I raise to blueEnergy, so you can be sure your money is making a big difference!

£3000 is rather a large target, but then so is running a marathon, so please help me achieve what I can!  Thank you!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
