Whilst away on a trip we decided that we wanted to find a challenge to enter, something that would give us the motivation to train and push ourselves. We were thinking maybe a small triathlon or something along those lines, but then in a moment of madness we decided to go ahead and enter this amazing day long adventure race, running, kayaking and cycling across the 3 Maltese Islands. A bit bigger than the original plan, but we wanted an adventure and this will definitely challenge us as neither of us has done anything like this before.

Sarah is a member of SARAID, a British charity who are dedicated to providing post disaster Search and Rescue assistance, trying to save the lives of innocent victims of disaster all over the world. We want to use our challenge as a way of supporting them as the charity is entirely funded by donations. 

We are fully paying for the challenge ourselves so every penny raised through this will go towards SARAID, it will be spent on Search and Rescue equipment and training, as well as providing the vital necessities for the team when they deploy to a country in need.
