In September I will be heading out to South Africa for 3 months with Tearfund. This is in collaboration with International Citizen Service (ICS); their vision is to invest in young people to provide them with the opportunity to make a difference through global active citizenship.

Throughout my time in SA I will be working with communities in Durban with Zoe-Life. Zoe-Life is a social enterprise whose goal is to transform the lives of children, vulnerable families and communities that have been affected by disease, poverty and injustice to create lasting changes from the individual experience all the way to policy improvements. 

Movements and change are driven by individuals and social transformation begins with an energised individual. As a team we will be striving to impact individuals to bring excellence and life to their environments through love, leadership support, mentoring, team strengthening, thinking skills and care-of the carer interventions; unlocking people's potential to create deep and meaningful social change. 

I am endeavoring to raise £800 in order to support and aid the advancements of the sustainable work of Tearfund. Prior to my departure I will be undertaking various fundraising activities (details to follow). So so excited to further fulfill all that's been born within me to do, for new adventures and for all the unimaginable roads ahead.
