Story

****update****

My friends and family raised £2,955.60 and £695.00 in gift aid on my old page under Khalsa Aid.  I have now created a new link for Sikh Relief, who will be using all the donated funds directly for the protestors in Delhi. Khalsa Aid, have agreed to split all of the funds, raised to date on my old page between all 3 of the charities equally to the ground forces in Delhi.  I can assure you that all the funds have been split by Khalsa Aid, to all the protestors on the ground at Delhi.

My mission

As British born citizen, I Satinder Singh Hayre, have decided to take action and help with the kisan movement in India.

We are proud to call it Panjab, our mother land, and it is the fruit of that very land that has paved the way for us to live the life we do today. Now that very motherland, is being bled dry by the Indian government, and their Kisan bill.  This bill, has outlined 3 points that are designed to suppress the farmers, and regulate the sale of crops and land.  The same farmers, that have fed the whole of India for generations before us.

We are so saddened to be so close, yet so far from the movement and peaceful protest towards Delhi. So much so, that we feel helpless. Its thanks to Sikh Relief, that we have decided to action and show our support to the movement. Sikh Relief is assisting on the ground with sleeping facilities, food, clothing and medical aid to the protesters.

I have decided to do a sponsored walk from Gravesend Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, to number 10 Downing Street (this is just short of a marathon at 23 miles) to raise much needed funds towards the Kisan protest and other charitable events. The walk will take place on Sunday the 27th of December at 4.00am.  We will start at Gravesend gurdwara and do Ardas, before we set off.  We aim to reach 10 downing street at approximately 3.00 pm. All funds will go direct to Sikh Relief. We will be hand delivering a letter that outlines the bill, accompanied with a letter of concern to our prime minister, Boris Johnson. He showed on prime ministers question time, just now naive he actually is!!! He said it was an issue with India and Pakistan?  The Sikh community, have played an integral part in this country's growth, yet he displays this level or ignorance towards this human rights issue.

If anybody would like to partake in the walk, please contact me on - 07903497029.  The walk will be in conjunction with all covid 19 guide lines.

I would like to make a humble request to everybody that would like to donate, please, add a gift aid to your donation, as it  to the overall amount the charity receives.

I would also like to say a special thank you to TAG Construction Ltd., for their kind support and donations.
