The Museum of the Home took a brave decision to stand by their history and not to remove the statue of benefactor Sir Robert Geffrye from their building. We wish to show our support for the Board of Trustees' decision.

The donation is tied to the statue, so we wish to encourage them to stand by their decision and not give in to short term political pressure. We also wish to give confidence to other institutions that there will be support for them if they act likewise.
