Story
Hello and Assalamuʿalaykum (peace be upon you),
I will be climbing the Ben Nevis to raise funds to help provide water to the world's poorest communities. With over 800, 000 people dying from water-related illnesses each year, unsafe water is the single biggest obstacle to the health and prosperity of communities in the developing world. Water is essential to life, yet 844 million people in the world - 1 in 9 - lack access to it. According to a report by the World Economic Forum, the water crisis is the #4 global risk in terms of impact to society.
Today I ask you to support me to help change this. To donate towards this amazing cause to bring safe water and sanitation to those deprived children and families, giving them hope that someone truly cares. By empowering people with this fundamental human need, you will be helping provide families with hope, health and the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.
Those of you who know me well, would know how challenging this would be for me especially at this point in life - I have been constantly saying I shall climb 'such and such' mountain and improve my well-being and personal growth and blah blah, so here goes - my leap of faith!... and why not do it for a brilliant cause too, right! Currently trialling out 18hr Intermittent fasting, to improve my health, focus and fitness, and ofcourse following the month of Ramadan, it has been very difficult, and tough days, and to be honest I could not imagine, not having the easy access to clean water which I currently have!
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles, standing at 1,344 metres above sea level. I believe that I am ready to face this challenge and conquer this high mountain in support of a great cause.
I would be most grateful for any contribution and support towards this. Please remember your donation would be hugely appreciated and will go a long way in bettering the health and livelihoods of the poorest of communities worldwide. Please do also encourage and share the link with your friends and families to raise awareness and donate, every little helps.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my story and wish me luck!! :-)
