We’ve been improving the lives of those who work or have worked at sea, and their families, for over 100 years. Established in 1917 as The King George's Fund for Sailors, to support the families of seafarers lost at sea during World War One, we support seafarers throughout their career and beyond.

Story

Welcome to Scandia Gear's fundraising page for the 24 Peaks Challenge 2018!

Held in Britain's Lake District, the 24 Peaks Challenge raises money and awareness for Seafarers UK and the organisation's work with seafarers and seafarers' families.

Scheduled for July 7th and 8th, the event centres on teamwork, testing participants' mental and physical strengths over 31 miles (50 km) of rough terrain, climbing 24 peaks, each over 2,400ft (732 m), in 24 hours.

Representing us this year, our second as a team, are Richard Kruithof, Anniek Pos, Erik Blom, Denice van Rooij, Marc de Zwart and Willemke Bekkema. Don Dogger will be our driver.

We have chosen JustGiving as our team's fundraising platform to ensure that all money raised goes directly to Seafarers UK.
