We raise funds for Suicide Prevention to stop people taking their own lives.

Story

To everyone that visits this page, I personally thank you for taking the time to do so. This cause is so incredibly important and really hits home for me and my special family.

I have chosen for all donations from this just giving page to go to Hectors house, an incredible charity set up in honour of the wonderful Hector Stringer who devastatingly took his own life in 2011 at the age of just 18 years old. They promote open discussions around mental health to avoid stigma and to prevent suicide amongst young people. They do lots of work within schools promoting healthy living and again discussing mental health, they attend events, do lots of fundraising and anyone can get involved.

It’s so incredibly important to talk about mental health but it’s not always as easy as that sounds.

We tragically lost my younger sister age just 15 two years ago today on the 7th December 2017, the worst day of all our lives. We have an empty space within our family now that we can’t ever fill and it will remain this way. She was a bubbly, funny, caring and beautiful young girl, cheeky as well! She was very sassy and loved to have a sing and dance, always making up performances for us to watch with her best friend, her twin sister Ruby. Now I just want to say what an amazingly strong and brave lady Ruby is.... I cannot begin to even sum up how much Ruby has battled and overcome with such determination and strength, still giving support to those around her whilst feeling so lost without her best friend by her side. She has found ways to cope and succeed in all she sets out to do, in fact she has ABSOLUTELY SMASHED everything she has achieved and fi would be over the moon proud watching her now! 🥰  She has become stronger and stronger throughout it all, facing her own very difficult challenges but she continues to make everyone smile. She gives us the most special gift and that’s the other half of fi, twins forever. Fi was incredibly courageous in all she battled and fought through, facing inner feelings even she couldn’t understand. We supported her all we could but mental health is more complex than you ever think it is. It’s a hidden illness that a lot of people are afraid to share, afraid to face, but with support and the right people to listen, things can get better for anyone!

I have set this page up in honour of Fi as I, the same as many of us I’m sure, feel guilt each day that I could of done more, could have been there to talk to her more, ect, but truth is there was no way of us knowing how she felt as she didn’t know herself! Mental health consumes people and all you can do is do your best.  there could of been lots done differently but you can’t think that way forever. In the moment you never see things coming when your so submersed in helping that person. But I want to take small steps to help others, now that we have taken a step back and can provide an insight to help relate with other facing the same problems and feelings. Let’s let her spirit live on ❤️❤️

Please give to such a worthy cause and help those who are not always noticed!
