Aye, believe it or not, old Scottie is going to run a 10K for charity on the 22nd of May, there is much cynicism about my ability to complete this run therefore I appeal to you to show your confidence or otherwise to support my escapade by generously donating your dosh in aid of Aberdeen Cyrenians

 

There are two charities that are close to my heart at the moment and they are Aberdeen Cyrenians and Befriend a Child

Aberdeen Cyrenians is a local charity working with homelessness in the North East of Scotland. Having worked there for 8 years, I fully understand the continuous financial pressures, but also what difference every penny makes to those who are the most vulnerable in our communities.

Befriend a Child, does what it says on the tin and is run by some incredible people, and the service is offered by a large group of amazing volunteers. Again the emphasis on giving some of our youngest vulnerable people life chances and experiences.
