I have thrown myself into many physical challenges during my life, for the most part cycling or running related. I have always relished pushing myself to my limits and at times battling with the elements! 
That said swimming has always been my nemesis.

It has always been quite baffling that I can run a marathon and yet by comparison a few laps in a warm pool has seemed harder physically and psychologically.
I have always admired swimmers who seem to effortlessly glide up and down throwing tumble turns into the mix!

With this challenge I hope the time has come to conquer my swimming nemesis and that the good work that BEN does to help people and change people's lives will give me the incentive to succeed!! 

I have worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years. I have enjoyed many experiences and with the industry I have fulfilled my career goals.

It is heartening to know that there is an organisation our there like BEN who is there to support people and their families working in the industry should they need support during more challenging times.
