I have spent my whole adult life working with and supporting people who have issues with their Mental Health. I have seen how relatively small acts can make a huge difference to the experience of being in hospital and ultimately their longer term recovery. By taking on this challenge for Heads On I hope to not only raise much needed funds that will directly impact on those in our care but also to raise awareness around Mental Health and help reduce the stigma that can go with it.  

Those that know me will know that i have only recently discovered running! April 2015 i hadn't run a step and started building up to doing a 5K, something that is now a regular part of my week. I pushed my limits further last October when I ran the Bright 10 mile something that I thought I'd never achieve. it wasn't long after I picked up my medal that I thought could I go further? so when i saw the opportunity to run a half marathon for such a worthy cause  I jumped at the chance.
