The Great Bakery Bike Ride

Between June 17 and June 27 2010, the Greggs operating board is taking on a mammoth challenge, to cycle between each of the Greggs bakeries, a gruelling total of 900 miles. Each member of the operating board will take part in at least one stage of the course to raise money for disadvantaged children in England, Scotland and Wales.

Scott Jefferson:

“When I said I’d take part in this event I had visions of pootling along country lanes stopping for picnics with lashings of ginger beer and the odd stop off at a country pub. I’m now down for the trans-pennine route from Stockport to Leeds and, having done a few training rides I know my bike and body are woefully inadequate for such a task.
