We feel it is important to support the work of those trying make life that bit easier for those who are going through the terrible ordeal of living with cancer. Without such support, it wouldn't be possible for the charity to carry out the brilliant work they do.
We really want to feel that we have helped to make a massive difference to many people’s lives so we have set ourselves a Massive target of £10,000 - which means that we need as much support from you as possible!
But we wouldn't expect you sponsor us, without giving ourselves a pretty substantial challenge!
The challenge itself will involve each of our (currently very unfit) team members taking to the bikes in 30 minute stints for the entire 24 hours, in an attempt to reach our 500km target. The challenge will be filmed on a webcam and streamed live to our website.
In order to
complete the challenge we will each have to cycle a minimum total of 100 km and average a speed of approximately
21km/h (13mph), which is no easy feat for four office workers who consider
getting up to make a cup of tea as their daily exercise!
And of course, the losing team will be preparing to face the consequences with a nasty forfeit!
We will also
be holding a HUGE networking event for businesses to attend which will also include evening entertainement with silent auctions, raffles, food
and live music! If you would like to know more about this event please contact Katie on 01606214201 or katie.kingdon@screedgiant.co.uk
