The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Thank you very much for coming this far...! Please read below-

I have agreed to do two major challenges in 2014 on behalf of the Steve Prescott Foundation. As I am sure you are aware, my good friend Steve Prescott won his battle against the cancer he had fought for the last 7years, but unfortunately due to complications after major transplant surgery lost his fight and passed away on the 9th November 2013.

Steve was so passionate about the SPF and the people he helped, including The Christie & The Try Assist Foundation. Recently following the huge success in Steve's surgery, giving other sufferers with the same condition a lifeline, the SPF have added the Intestinal Transplant Unit in Oxford, who looked after Steve to their funding recipients.

We must all do our bit to help the Steve Prescott Foundation continue to grow and help those less fortunate, and keep the great man's legacy going strong. I'm doing that in the way Precky liked best...in pain!!!! ...through his extreme challenges!

This year I have committed to the 'Walk for Precky' which is a walk of 900 miles (in 2 groups relay, non-stop) from Lands End to John O'Groats in 12 days. There will be 2 groups of 4 walkers, who will walk 8hrs on, 8hrs off in relay for the full 12 days!...aiming to beat the World Record! This starts on the 5/5 finishing at the top of Scotland on the 16/5!

Then on the 7-8/6, I will be completing the 'Tour de Yorkshire'. This is the official first 2 days of the 2014 Tour de France...and it is brutal! It is approx 250 miles of hills over 2 days!

As the main man used to say 'a challenge is only a challenge if it is challenging!'....so lets smash it!

Any donation you could spare, however little would be greatly appreciated, and will continue to help 3 priceless causes.

Thank you once again.

Scully :))
