Sean's LEJOG Adventure

Sean's LEJOG Adventure · 20 July 2014
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I set out on Sunday 20th July to cycle almost 900 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for ABF The Soldiers' Charity.
I completed the ride on 29 July after 10 days riding, having raised over £1200 to date for The Soldiers' Charity.
If you want to read about the ride, my blog is here: http://lejog-seanb.blogspot.co.uk/
Thanks again to all those who have supported me both via sponsorship and kind words.
Becky, my wife, and I decided to make the journey last year as a very special way of celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. It also seemed an ideal opportunity to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of ABF The Soldiers' Charity during the Second World War and use the journey to raise money for the organisation. My two targets for the ride were to complete the journey in 10 days, riding almost 100 miles each day, and to raise £900.
ABF The Soldiers' Charity gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families when they are in need by means of grants. Half of the grants are given direct to individuals to help in areas such as housing costs, mobility assistance, education bursaries, care home fees and respite breaks. The other half is given as grants to other charities working with soldiers, former soldiers and their families.
