Recovery Haven Kerry – Cancer Support House will deliver caring and therapeutic services to those who have experienced cancer, their families and carers in a tranquil and relaxing environment and to the highest standard.
For over 10 years, Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House has been offering free emotional and psychological support to cancer patients, their families and carers through phone support, counselling, complementary therapies, courses, classes & group activities, all administered by recognised professionals.
Almost 90 per cent of the charity’s income is generated through fundraising, which has been hugely impacted upon by Covid19 restrictions both in 2020 and into 2021
Despite the challenges, Recovery Haven has successfully adapted to a new way of operating and continues to offer support to those affected by cancer through online counselling, online classes including Creative Writing, our Cancer Thrive & Survive programme & Men’s & Women’s Support Groups, Look Good Feel Better classes, Pilates, Mindfulness, Stretch & Balance & Yoga.
The charity’s wig clinic remains operational, adhering to the strictest guidelines for the safety of our clients.
Despite the challenges of Covid19, Recovery Haven provided support services for 683 individuals in 2020, including 660 counselling sessions and 826 attendances at our classes, groups and support programmes.
