I lost my granda, Sean McHugh, to lung and bone cancer in July 2012. He was a brilliant man, who loved his family, and showed great generosity and warmth to everyone who knew him. There's a huge gap in our lives now that he's gone, and by supporting Stand Up To Cancer we can help stop other people suffering as he did.

It is very difficult to explain to people, who haven't seen the effects of it, quite how sad and terrible this disease is. It can ruin lives, and affects every single person involved. I want to remember my Granda in a positive way, and remind ourselves that his role in our lives was hugely important.

I'm a new runner so this is a huge challenge for me. Starting to train pretty much immediately, so any and all support will help push me forward.
