In June 2017 myself and a group of music students from Cardiff University will be travelling to an orphanage in Belarus to volunteer with the charity Leaves of Hope.  Leaves of Hope work with underdeveloped and deprived children in the Zhodino Orphanage in Minsk. While
there, we plan to introduce the children to a music therapy / play scheme, do some arts and crafts with the children, and also help with general DIY and brighten up the orphanage.

There are currently 46 children aged 3-6 in the orphanage that desperately need aid such as clothing, general aid (such as tooth brushes / tooth paste), and toys and games (art materials would be great, too). Donations of musical instruments would be greatly appreciated as our group aims to start up a music therapy / play scheme for the children in the orphanage.

Any donations of money, however big or small, will be very much appreciated, as well as any donations of items listed above. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Throughout the next few months our group will be fundraising through various events and activities such as busking, cake sales, and sponsored walks and runs - we'll be climbing Pen y Fan in May! I shall be keeping everyone updated through Facebook and through my Just Giving page with the dates and the places where we will be, so it would be amazing if you could come and support us at our fundraising events!
