Event: London Marathon 2018, on 22 April 2018
The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet - runners have raised over £750 million for good causes since the race began in 1981.

Story

I will be running the marathon in the style of Phoebe Buffay.

Just kidding, I can't run that gracefully.

Despite never winning any competitions in the past, out of the 386,050 applicants I somehow managed to win a place in the ballot with just 17,000 other people... If you're here then thank you very much for either donating or considering giving some of your hard earned money to the Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia.  There are 850,000 people in the UK with dementia and from personal experience, having a family member live with this disease is heartbreaking.  So anything I can do to support this charity and help further the research for a cure, I will.

I know money is precious so even if you can spare £1, I would be extremely grateful.

Muchas gracias

Sadly since signing up for the marathon, my Granny has passed away. It is now even more important to me that we raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Society, to help those still living with the disease, help find the cure and prevent it from affecting other people's families.
