Seven Hills Of Edinburgh Challenge · 1 July 2020

It helps people who worked in the Licensed Trade and still work in the trade who have fallen on hard times

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There is a saying that "Rome was built on seven hills and Dufftown built on seven stills". Well, because I can't visit either at the moment, and those who work in the hospitality industry are suffering also, I thought I'd run the seven hills close to my house and raise some money for a worthy cause, The Ben.

On July 6th, I'll run 24klm over the seven main high points of Edinburgh

Carton Hill

Castle Rock

Corstorphine Hill

West Craiglockhart

Braid Hill

Blackford Hill

Arthurs seat

A total of 2,200 ft across a mix of tarmac, trail and scrambling with some urban navigation thrown in for good measure.

I'll be running it (socially distanced) by Fraser McFadden, who will also be raising monies for The Ben - the drinks industry charity in Scotland.

Further to this, any monies raised will be matched by William Grant & Sons via their #STANDFAST campaign.

Each hill we crest will be "named" on the day as a whisky bar around Scotland.
