Story
On 2nd April I’ll be putting my body through the Brighton Marathon! It’s something that’s been on my bucket list for a while and I wanted to make sure I did it for a charity that means something to me.
I’m raising money for Shout Charity. I’ve had my own share of mental health issues and everyone at some point in their life time will have struggles of their own. Shout personally means a lot to me as I’ve been able to see first hand the great work they do, as I’ve been a Shout Volunteer since late 2022.
Please see below for more information about the charity.
Shout is the UK's only 24/7 text service for anyone struggling to cope with their mental health. We respond to 1,500-2,000 requests for support every day and have taken over 1.5 million conversations with people who are anxious, depressed or suicidal. Every £10 Shout receives can pay for a conversation with someone in crisis, and could save a life.£25 can help us reach disadvantaged communities that most need mental health support.£50 means that five children, young people and adults could receive potentially life-saving help.
