Mencap is a fantastic charity - changing the lives of people who suffer, often in silence, with the challenges and continued social stigma of learning disabilities. Here are some statistics: 

- Children with special educational needs are twice as likely to be bullied as other children; 

- Almost 1 in 3 young people with a learning disability spend less than 1 hour outside their home on a typical Saturday (Mencap, 2016);

- Over half of working age disabled people who have felt lonely in the past year said they experienced depression (62%) and anxiety (58%); and half (49%) experienced stress. 

Lets end the inequality and become a society which loves and supports everyone! Help give people with learning disabilities a voice. Their families can't do it alone...
