Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running to raise money for Bliss so that they can help ensure doctors and nurses have the best resources available to care for babies and to research innovative techniques and treatments that have the potential to save and improve the quality of life for babies born premature or sick. Bliss also offers help and support to parents of special care babies at the most difficult times.

My daughter Becci was born at 35 weeks (4lb 2oz) and my son Jack at 29 weeks (2lb 15 oz). Both required life-saving intensive care and seeing my babies for the first time in a neonatal unit was very frightening and stressful. I often felt helpless and unsure of how to cope especially with Jack who was attached to so many tubes and monitors in the early weeks. The neonatal staff at North Tees were fantastic and can't thank them enough for all their care, support and understanding. Today I am very lucky to have 2 happy, healthy children now aged 24 and 21.
