Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On May 5th 2014 myself and Cheryl Strong will be taking part in the Northumberland Coastal Challenge. It is a 26.2 mile walk covering the fantastic Northumberland Coastal line from just North of Bamburgh to Alnmouth. It must be completed in 12 hours or under.

We will be raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association in memory of my mam, Susan Warr, who after suffering from the disease for 18 months sadly passed away last October.

MND is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

MND may affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe and there is currently no cure.
