Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2013 my dad Keith Tonge died .

My dad was diagnosed aged  60 with Bladder cancer and was treated with immunotherapy.

The cancer was Metastatic meaning it then spread to his Lungs spine and hip .

A long harrowing course of 3 Chemotherapy and radiotherapy followed each time taking an awful toll on my dads body until age 64 my dad died .He fought for Life right until the end remaining the strongest ,bravest man I have ever known ..

I truly believe that one day a treatment will be available that will treat cancer successfully allowing the person to live a full life with the disease and without trials into new treatments this cannot happen.

I want to help this process by raising money to help fund these trials so in the future people will not have to die and can live a full life with the disease and Candles Charity Lincoln are pioneering ground breaking cancer research trials  to enable this.

Heartbreakingly too late for my dad but someone will benefit from this and to know I've helped in a small way to end the devastation and sadness during and after this cruel disease  will be worth it .
