Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Throughout the next few months, we are taking part in a number of runs, including the Glasgow Women's 10K and The Tiree 10K, all in preperation for the main event in September where we will be taking part in the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon.

We are raising money for SAMH- Scottish Association of Mental Health as its a charity very close to our hearts and they do some great work. SAMH is Scotland’s leading mental health charity. In Scotland 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem and each day 2 people die by suicide. SAMH work to combat stigma and campaign for better mental health. Helping SAMH allows them to take positive steps towards a mentally healthier Scotland.

One in four people in Scotland will have a mental health problem at some point in their life. SAMH believe there is no health without mental health and provide help, information and support; to campaign on behalf of people with mental health problems and to raise money to fund our vital work.

Earlier this year, my daddy Jim, who had suffered from severe depression for many years, took his own life. We want to raise money to support people with mental health problems before it gets to the stage that suicide is the only answer.

So please dig deep and donate now.We appreciate your donations so much - whatever you can give - every single penny counts!

Thanks!
