Hi everyone,

Just a brief note to say that "I DID IT". Yes I completed the swim on Saturday afternoon in a very respectable time of 49 minutes and 16 seconds!!! The water was choppy at first and the swim was a lot harder than I had expected, even though my preparations had gone well over the last 18 months or so.

Firstly can I thank all those that came to support me on the day, those of you that have sponsored me and finally those that provided me with constant encouragement throughout my preparation.

I intend to post some pictures on the site in the next week or so and will let you know when I do. So far I have raised over £1,000 and hopefully still have more donations to come.

Hi everyone,

Well the big day is nearly here, with just over a week now to my swim. My training has gone really well and I am as prepared as I can be having done an open water swim at the weekend in my wet suit.

Many thanks to all those of you that have offered me words of encouragement and of course to my many sponsors. It's not too late for anyone else that wishes to make a donation.
