Story
I am running a half marathon around Milton Keynes in memory of my beautiful cousin Amy.
Amy blessed us all with 16 wonderful years until she was taken away from us way to early, I am running this marathon in her memory to try and help individuals and their families battling Cystic Fibrosis in the future.
As all who know me (and my very vast frame) will know and appreciate the extreme challenge I am setting myself by attempting to complete 26.2 miles, Amy had an incredible outlook on life and always saw the brighter side to life even with what she was battling throughout her young life. I will hopefully gain ‘the spirit’ of Amy when pounding the streets for many, many miles building up to this challenge. I pray Amy will be looking over me on race day and training runs with pride (I don’t doubt I will need her help at many points through training).
So remember, if you see me pounding the streets of Hemel Hempstead it’s all for a great cause!!
Thanks so much for taking time to read this and more importantly for donating to this incredible cause and showing me some support.
