Strictly Best Foot Forward for Bury Hospice 2019 · 9 September 2019 to 7 December 2019 ·

Bury Hospice does 'Strictly come Dancing' as 32 contestants gear up for the dance challenge of their life. Each will spend 12 weeks learning new dances to be performed in front of a live audience.

Story

I am setting myself this huge challenge in memory of my husband, Ian, who died in Bury Hospice nearly twenty years ago.

At that time I had my eyes opened to the superb care given and the wonderful work done by the hospice - so since then I have wanted to give back.

For almost seven years I've been a Bury Hospice volunteer and worked as part of a fantastic team of people at the furniture warehouse.

Now is the time to go LARGE in terms of fund-raising and do my bit to try to ensure that the hospice can continue all that it does so brilliantly for our community.

It currently costs £2.56million to run Bury Hospice annually. The hospice only receives 25% of this amount from the government. Every donation helps the hospice - £12 will feed a patient for a day, £35 will cover a physiotherapy session, £50 will support two bereavement sessions.

PLEASE GIVE WHAT YOU CAN!
