At Princess Alice Hospice, we provide exceptional end of life care in our hospice and in the community. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do whatever we possibly can to make it the best it possibly can be. But, above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Story

Many thanks for taking the time to visit Shelagh’s JustGiving page.

Shelagh was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer approximately three years ago.

She received excellent treatment and care from the team at Parkside Hospital, including surgery and chemotherapy, however, it spread to other areas until it could no longer be treated.

Despite this, she carried on with courage, wit and good humour, making the most of the time she had left supported by family and friends.

She spent her last days in at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.  The Hospice cannot be praised highly enough for the care that they gave both her and the friends and family that were with her until the end. She greatly appreciated the dedication of the team at the Hospice and the facilities that they were able to offer, also recognising the importance of raising funds to enable the good work to continue for the benefit of others in the same position.

She will remain in our memories as a much loved sister, aunt, great aunt and friend.

Please give generously in her memory.
