Hi everyone.
From Darren -
Thank you all so much for continuing to visit this site to donate - Shelley set up an alternative JustGiving page under the title shelleyhand1 which is still receiving your generous donations - please continue to donate on that page, every penny really counts so we can finally beat this cruel disease
In the meantime, can I thank everyone for their kindness and generosity since Shelley passed, as I've said before, I feel lucky to have shared my life with someone who inspired such love in everyone she met.
Much Love
Darren
It's a new year, a fresh start after another round of chemo and i need to get fit and make some plans. Thanks to all of you for walking, jumping out of aeroplanes, running, slimming, singing, partying, sponsoring and generally being 'up for it', together we have raised over £20,000 for Cancer Research/Ovarian Cancer Action in my fundraising year. I am thrilled with the total! So 2013 needs to be bigger and better. There is much to do and loads to enjoy. I have some fab ideas and hope to get us all together very soon. Much love, Shelley xx

A 26 mile, overnight marathon walk raising money for Ovarian Cancer Research. 17 of you signed up to walk with me, more of you came on the night to support us and did lots of walking too (including my lovely Darren). Dozens of you sponsored our team of Shiny Happy People. You are all amazing! Thank you so much. xxxxx Shell
RACE FOR LIFE
Race for Life is done! A 5k run in Windsor on Sunday June 17th in aid of Breast Cancer Research with my friends Eleanor, Julia and Paula with back up support from Sam and Molly. I ran for my Aunty Aileen who is fighting her own battle, my Aunty Audrey (still in remission) and my friend Karen. I will be running in hope for my future and that of millions like me.
Here come the girls! :-) xx

CAKE SALE
Tommy and his friends at Furze Platt have raised an astonishing amount at a cake sale. Thank you to all who donated yummy cakes, helped with the sale or bought and bought and bought. It is a fantastic total of £524.55 plus £131.14 gift aid. I'm so proud of everyone involved but especially my gorgeous boy. Tom you are a star!! x
CAT'S HAIR
Wow! My friend Cat shaved her head, cut off her fab orange hair, in order to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer and to raise loads of money for Cancer Research. A very gutsy thing to do, i'm sure you will agree. Cat has to date raised more than £1600 and the figure is sure to rise. If you feel inspired by Cat's astonishingly selfless act, please donate to her page (follow the 'Shiny Happy People' link at the bottom of this page). Cat you look amazing and i am so proud of you. Thank you honey and thanks to all those who have already given so generously. xxx
COFFEE AND CAKE
The coffee morning in Dec was a huge success, raising an astonishing £350 for Cancer Research. You fabulous women bought loads of lovely xmas jewels and chatted the morning away. The cakes were gorgeous and Darren has fallen in love with Megan's muffins!!! (It was bound to happen)
Big hugs and loads of love to everyone! xx Shelley
