Story
Being told that you have cancer is one of the most awful things that you'll hear. As focussed as you try to be when the doctors and nurses are talking to you, it does all just become a blur. Breast Cancer Care have lots of literature which helped me to get my head around what I was being told. I read and re-read their booklets and still read them. The website is full of information, support and other women who are experiencing/living with breast cancer. I am fortunate enough to have a fantastic support network in my family and friends but still tapped into the BCC website and literature for help/support/comfort/reassurance. Not everyone has such a large support network in family and friends and rely heavily on the services that BCC provide. These services are vital for both patients and their families so we must help them keep going.
