There are over 70,000 refugees in the Yida refugee camp, which is in Unity State, South Sudan. The majority of them are children. Green Kordofan, the charity I will be running for, are, through sport, attempting to foster a spirit of peace and teamwork amongst these children, as well as boost their self-esteem. They have already set up the first girls volleyball team in South Sudan, and a number of football teams. Many more young boys and girls in the camp now wish to take part in sports and join teams, and this will require additional funding.
