Story

Hi Everyone,

Lauren and I are doing the Glasgow Kiltwalk Mighty Stride in April with my brave step daughter Claire her wife Rachael their sisters and friends to raise much needed funds for the Baby Loss retreat.

Their story written by David’s daughter Claire

In September 2022 our hearts were broken. Rachael and I suffered an insurmountable loss when our daughter was born prematurely at 23 weeks due to my waters breaking early. She was perfect but too early for this world. The support we have had from our families and friends has been phenomenal and with every text, phone call and visit a wee piece of our heart rebuilt.

In addition, the Scottish charity Baby Loss Retreat has provided us with professional support and been an arm around our shoulders; there when needed quietly in the background.

Rachael and I along with our families are walking 23 miles on 30th April as part of the Kiltwalk to raise funds for Baby Loss Retreat. These funds will be used to support other couples and we want to give back to such an amazing group of people.

I know times are hard but any donation to this wonderful charity would be appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Baby Loss Retreat
