I first came into contact with Pratham UK through a university show where the proceeds raised went to the charity. Here, I got a glimpse of the life-changing work that Pratham does and the far reach that it has in India. 

Since graduating, in the interim period before my job starts, I thought what better way to support the charity than to give my time. I have been working at Pratham full time for the last couple of months and have had the opportunity to see first hand the capacity of the programmes in India to transform communities and generations by providing primary school education, back-to-school initiatives for girls and vocational training for young adults. To give you an idea of the impact we can have:

• £1 funds a child's education for a month
• £10 teaches a child basic reading and writing
• £100 funds the training of a young person in hospitality at the Pratham Institute.

These initiatives rely heavily on fundraising from Pratham UK and other chapters outside India. So I thought I would take on the challenge of training up for the London 10k in July. Please do donate as much or as little as you are able to and I promise it goes a long way! I am incredibly grateful for all your support and generosity - THANK YOU!
