Foodbank PLUS is a unique range of initiatives that work from a variety of venues in Shrewsbury and the surrounding villages. Partnering with Shrewsbury School for some years is an important
ongoing relationship. Volunteers from the School attend each week as part of our Thursday team and we also host the Christmas Fair in Quod (27 November 2022) annually. 

Foodbank PLUS works with thousands of people each year. Most clients receive food and household items. Others use our Money Advice service or the holistic range of 360 initiatives. Clients come from a range of backgrounds. Many are in work and are not homeless. Foodbank PLUS provides seven days food, three meals a day plus those essential items like nappies and pet food. We work with people to support them in their situation, whatever that might be. You wouldn't be able to identify a foodbank PLUS client in the street as they look just like everybody else. And that's because there is no 'typical' foodbank PLUS client or family.

The team of 80 volunteers, whatever their role, offer an outstanding service ensuring all our clients feel a level of dignity and self-worth. This is key to how we work. We are pioneering in terms of innovation and developing new ideas.
