The team here at Shumack Dental are trying to raise awareness and funds on World Scleroderma Day for our beautiful dental assistant Britt who has to live with this rare auto immune disease every day.

Word Scleroderma day is on Wednesday 29th June and the team here at Shumack Dental will be dressed in yellow to raise awareness and some funds.

Scleroderma is a rare, autoimmune, connective tissue disease characterised by the thickening and hardening of the underlying connective tissues which support the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs and kidneys. Scleroderma can affect women, men and children. It is complex, debilitating, and often fatal. There are some treatments available, but there is effectively, no cure for Scleroderma.

Many are afflicted with or affected by Scleroderma including our very own Britt so help us do our part to raise awareness and some funds for this very worthy cause.
