We will be leaving 8th of July and travelling through the night to Lochaber which is just outside Fort William in the highlands of Bonnie Scotland!  We start walking in the early morning of Saturday 9th of July and the climb and descent should take from 6 to 8 hours in total. 

The 'Alamiyah institute works hard to develop individuals who can communicate a strong message of humanity and compassion.  We work within the community to create good relations between people of different faiths and with people of no faith, to create a better understanding of each other.  This enables people to feel comfortable to ask questions that may seem controversial, but also to create an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding which in turn leads to good community relations. 

This adventurous fund-raising initiative is to raise money for the Montessori school that has been developed to give the local community a chance to instil these values into our children from an early age allowing them to become ambassadors for the future.  People who will benefit the people around them, from their schools to their employers, all the way to the rest of humanity.

This cause is very close to my heart and as you all know my inspiration. Many of my closest friend’s children will be going to the school that we are trying to raise the money for, one of many Alamiyah institute’s projects.  Two years ago this beautiful school had to close down due to lack of funds and new legislation preventing the original project from continuing, which saw many of the children lose what they held so dear.

We believe that many of the societal problems we are seeing now need to be tackled from an early age and having a school that embodies these principles, will help nurture the society we live in.  

I need you guys to dig deep and help me raise my target so we can continue to keep this school open and doing the great work that it does.
