Hello!

I am taking part in the CSP's 5km fun run to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Physiotherapists are greatly involved in the care of patients with CF, and so as a physiotherapy student this charity is very personal for me.

Cystic Fibrosis is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases, to which there is no cure. Each week, five babies are born with cystic fibrosis, and unfortunately each week 3 young lives are also lost to this condition. The CF Trust is the UK's only national charity that deals with all aspects of CF, providing care and support to patients and families, funding research into cures and treatments, and educating health professionals and carers. This trust can make a huge difference to the lives of patients with CF.
