My running journey started off in March, training with NBRG to learn how to run and be able to run 5k. After a life changing injury, it was an exciting new challenge.

Mr Boyce Preston is my father in law, and a fantastic one at that. In May 2014 he was diagnosed with an incurable stage of Prostate Cancer. Cancer affects families in different ways, and ours was rocked when we found out that the pillar in the family was somewhat 'unwell'. Boyce is one of the kindest, and most honest men I have ever met. Even though he has had such dramatic news, he continues to be positive, and still puts all of the drama family life brings, before his own needs.

So, my mission is to reach the finishing line of the Bournemouth Half Marathon, whether that be running or crawling, and raise as much money as I can so that people affected by Prostate Cancer, just like Boyce, have a better future and continued support.
