SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) is a global network uniting passionate and hardworking teams from universities in over 40 different countries with communities from across the globe. 

SIFE Leicester has been working tirelessly since its inception, and this year has been no different. Our most exciting project currently is Inspire Ethiopia. 

Seeking to inspire our generation, the importance of self-sustaining and in-innovative local business start-ups are at the roots of Inspire Ethiopia.

How it works?

This year, SIFE Leicester is embarking on a trip across the globe to empower young adults in Gondar University, to make a positive difference in local communities in Ethiopia.

SIFE Leicester has brought together the Leicester-Gondar Link and Alchemy World to deliver this ambitious student-led initiative to change the lives of Ethiopian students and their families. 

We will deliver bright futures workshops which have been developed by SIFE Leicester and Alchemy World, an established NGO in Ethiopia. These workshops will inspire, challenge and encourage the students in Gondar to develop new skills and put them into practice by setting up an Enterprise Society within the university. 

Our aim is not simply to send cash but to help local people solve long term challenges in medicine and economic development by empowering them.

The best method of doing this is by being in Ethiopia to engage hands on in the programmes we are running.
