The Challenge

The concept quickly formed and galvanised back at the factory and with suitable volunteers press-ganged into signing up the event was on. A frenzy of not enough training, it was too dark or too cold or too wet – you know the story, and sorting out bikes consumed then final weeks of 2011. Dates were decided, hotels were booked and a charity chosen and we poor, unsuspecting volunteers were committed to a fate far worse than we could ever imagine. A gruelling 140 miles up hill and over dale between Whitehaven and Sunderland (C2C) in only a few short days - 28/29/30 April 2012.
